This is the pdf transcript of the sermon.

God is great! But the question is, how great is he? Do we have a picture about God's greatness? Is the foundation for our picture of God our thinking and feeling or other peoples opinion or is it the Word of God?
It is ancient history - and still it is significant for today!
The early Christians were focussed on eternity, not so much on our present live, as we use to be. Let's allow God to change our perspective and expect from him that he will make our lives much more relevant!
What if the way we live our faith doesn't please other Christians? Shouldn't we be a testimony? Shouldn't we be a model church? Paul, who is confronted with questions like these, gives us
a very enthousiastic and encouraging answer!

Guest preacher Alex Strecker, who is working in South Africa as a missionary is talking about: "If you want to serve God, you have to serve the people on this earth, like Jesus."

What does it mean, when Paul says that he who "sows on the flesh", will reap destruction? And how can we "sow on the Spirit"?

The sermon is about the Wedding of Kana in comparison to an African wedding, and how extremely embarrasing it is when there is noth enough wine. And how important it is to trust the Lord with our needs.
Are we to battle against the works of the flesh? Is it our task to bring fruits of the Spirit? And what to we do when such fruit is missing in our lives? (Gal.5:18-25)

Often Christian leaders are concerned that, if we preach freedom to the Christians, we will therby promote sin and a non-Christian lifestyle. Paul addresses this danger. But his recipe against it is not returning to the law.

Paul gives us strong reasons for living by grace. We don't want to suffer the  consequences of trying to live acc. to the law and we want the blessings that are attached to a life acc. to grace.

Sometimes it's easy to live as a Christian and sometimes it's tough. Why is it that way? What are we fighting for? Whom are we fighting against and how do we do that? The passage on the armour of God (Eph. 6:10-20) will give us an answer.

Christianity is not about what You can do for God, but what God wants to do in Your life.

What are the causes of discouragement and how can we deal with it.

Why shall we talk about our faith with other people and how can we do that?

The example of Mary when she annointed Jesus feet is used. She had learned to understand what it means to sit at Jesus feet and enjoy doing only what Jesus had in mind for her.
