A weekly challenge to think a bit!

Another problem can be that after some times your feelings may tell you: “See, you are not changed at all. You still have the same doubts. You still do the same stupid things.” Well that may be true, but that does not say anything about your true self: God has promised you to come into your life when you put your faith and trust in him. And he will do what he has promised.

Our thinking, our feelings and our behavior are a bit slow to change. We have been affected by the false thinking of this world for years. We have received emotional scares which make it difficult to trust and to relax. And we have been trained, at least in part, to do the wrong things. But now God is in charge and he will change you by and by. Sometimes this change will look difficult, but finally it will always result in a deepened relationship with Jesus and in more peace and joy. Keep firm what you have received. If there are doubts, go to the one in prayer who understands you through and through and who went to the cross even for your doubts! Don’t worry about the way of your life, just keep coming to God and tell him your failures, he has forgiven them on the cross and he is on your side in every fight of your life!

Galatians 2:20-21: "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if justification were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose."
